[SNOWSTORM]
Trillions of feathery stars descend on the fields
And woods. The snowfall is windless, branches receiving
A blanket, a soft and pure meringue, the evening
Darkness hiding the fresh mantling shield
Of crystal. Weightless they gather on reeds and canes
Until in their myriad atoms begins a valence
To pull on their heads, and soon a genial imbalance
Bends their backs in profound obeisance.
With the sun we come on skis to open a track.
We tap the boughs and brush against the grasses
And cavalierly dislodge the snowy masses,
Large and small. Behold, the limbs and stalks
Raise their heads, their courtly homage completing.
And we shyly smile to acknowledge nature’s greeting.

The text being used has the title cropped off – so I selected a good possibility. If I find the actual one in other texts that will be adjusted.
