TALL BIKERS

TALL BIKERS

One point ninety meters was their height,
(It esua1s six foot five), handsome German
Bikers touring down the coast and turning
Up our driveway, looking for a site

To pitch their tent. They found it on our dock
And neatly spread around their household: stove,
Bikes, beers, bundles of clothes. The cove
Beckoned; they swam; relaxed; took a walk,

Ate some more and finally turned in.
By midnight it was raining hard. Those tall
Bodies barely fit inside. They tried to crawl
Into a curl, but not before the skin

Of the tent is touched, and leakage starts to seep:
Fabrics, bikers, angels begin to weep!
