TIME
Time surrounds, engulfs, immerses wholly.
It’s real, a thing. We try to comprehend
By marking hours, years, centuries and eons,
But inner entity transcends our scrawls
And asserts its indivisibility.
Time, like God, is one; as we describe him,
We cheapen him and meanly circumscribe him.
Time is the universe viewed creatively,
A shapeless, monstrous Titan blindly seizing
And moulding us from baby folds to firm
Muscles to sagging wrinkles, unconcerned;
From joyous raptures to bored adulteries;
From infant New Year numbered on the sash
To querulous Father busy with his scythe.

The word moulding is a good word relating to wood flourishes. By definition it is a noun but it deserves to be a verb also.
